It’s October, and that means it’s time to start getting the ground ready for next year’s crop.

To kick it off and create some excitement gyos is announcing the end of time according to the Mayan calendar outdoor pot growing contest.

Here’s how it works. You grow one or many plants outdoors. You grow them in pots, in the ground or in an outdoor hydro grow show.

You send us anonymous updates, including pictures, so we can compare each other’s progress.

Next fall we compare the results based on looks, yield and stone. Readers will vote for the best pics and the cutest plant and the biggest colas It’s all on the honor system.

What do you win? Bragging rights. I’d get some prizes but how could we deliver them? So, bragging rights it is. Maybe we’ll get t-shirts too.

So, let’s get started preparing for the spring. Go find your plot and turn it over. Clear the weeds and put some fertilizer down. Then let it sleep through the winter.
